Anchor Bay School District issued the following announcement on Nov 5.
Last month, the Anchor Bay Fishing Club held a fishing event at the FOP pond (closed to the public) on 24-mile road where over 70 kids attended and over 50 students participated. The club proved baits and rods, and each student was given a pan-fish prize pack worth $12, totaling over $600 in fishing gear given away. Special thanks Anglers Outfitters of St Clair, FOP, and Project Fish! of MSU for the prize packets. Also, thanks to the ABFC supporting parents and community members. Anchor Bay Fishing Club is about angler skillsets, education and conservation.
