Public Meeting on Monday, September 19

Below is a message from Councilmember Barber. There will be a public meeting on Monday, September 19 7:00pm at the Community Center, with a tour of the Museum and Band Shell starting at 6:00pm.

As a lifelong resident, and a Marysville City Councilperson, please let me offer the following information regarding the buildings in the Marysville City Park.... As announced on WPHM today, a public meeting will be held on Monday, September 19th at 7pm. The meeting will be take place at the Marysville Recreation Center in the city park. A tour of the old city hall/museum and bandshell will be offered at 6pm for those who would like to evaluate the state of these structures prior to the public meeting. During the meeting the public will be given the opportunity to offer ideas on the repurposing or demolition of the old city hall building. Time will also be given for the public to voice their opinions on the bandshell. THE MARYSVILLE CITY COUNCIL HAS MADE NO FINAL DECISIONS ON THE FATE OF THE OLD CITY HALL NOR THE BANDSHELL IN THE CITY PARK....This meeting will be your chance to offer the council your ideas on the future of these structures. I will be the moderator for this event.....EVERYONE will be heard. ALL of your ideas will be documented and passed on to each city council person prior to any decisions being finalized on the future of these structures. This meeting will be a PUBLIC FRIENDLY event, all are welcome. I hope you will take this opportunity to help your elected officials make wise, productive and cost efficient decisions on the future of these structures.

If you have any questions about the meeting please PM me....Thank you...David C. Barber, Councilperson.
