The Chamber Manager is responsible and accountable to the Board of Directors to provide leadership to the Caro Chamber of Commerce.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Meet with current business owners, recruit and solicit new businesses and members.
2. Provide written monthly reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Oversee day to day activities of the Chamber (answer telephone, get mail etc.) and maintain open dialog with Executive Board of Directors.
4. Assist with Chamber special projects and events, as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least three years experience in a customer service position, at a chamber of commerce or other similar civic, community or non-profit organization. Comparable professional training and experience attained through military, industry or association service.
2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Chamber Board of Directors, committees, members, governmental units, civic groups and the general public.
3. Work independently and have ability to organize time, set priorities, multi-task and effective written communication skills and customer service skills, required.
4. Computer skills required, specifically Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks
5. Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the service area.
6. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
7. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
