FOIA Request to Lapeer County Election Division Regarding Pre-Election Voting Machine Test Reports on October 30, 2024.
In our continuous effort to ensure transparency and accountability in local governmental affairs, we at Thumb Reporter have sent a request under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act § 15.231 et seq., to the Lapeer County Election Division. The request specifically seeks access to records related to pre-election tests conducted on voting machines.
The detailed information we are seeking includes the test date, machine manufacturer, machine model number, and the status of each machine - whether it passed or failed the test. We have requested these records in a PDF format for ease of dissemination and analysis.
