On Thursday, April 3, former North Branch High School standout Cate Welch’s current college team, the Wheaton Thunder, won 7-3 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Carthage Firebirds.

The game took place at Ruth Leedy Field. This was their first matchup against the Firebirds this season.

The Thunder’s next game is scheduled for Thursday, April 3 at 5 p.m. at Ruth Leedy Field against Carthage Firebirds.
