Marlette Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 3
NEW THIS YEAR! The GFWC of Marlette is currently offering Banner Sponsorships to those wishing to honor a veteran with a customized banner that will be displayed along Main Street.
The banners are $100 each and will display the following: a digital image of the service member or a picture that can be scanned (preferably in uniform but if not available, a nice headshot will work), the veterans name and branch of service; and either the veteran’s years of service or date of birth and date of death.
The banners will be displayed for approximately 3-4 weeks beginning the last week of October, with removal being done sometime after Veteran’s Day (Monday, November 11, 2019).
