Algonac Community School District issued the following announcement on Jan. 28
On Saturday, January 25, 2020, the Algonac Chapter of the National Honor Society helped the Women’s Life Chapter 883 hold a Mardi Gras Murder Mystery Fundraiser. Together they were able to raise a total of $2,320 for the National Honor Society's project of purchasing two (2) Refillable Water Stations for the school. Over 80 people from our community attended the event.
The Algonac National Honor Society would like to thank: Women's Life Chapter 883; CeCe and Company (a local design company) for offering their time and talent free of charge for the event; the Algonac Lions Club for letting the group use the hall free of charge and donating all the tips that they received from the cash bar; Neiman’s Catering for providing a delicious meal of New Orleans inspired flavor; and Women’s Life member, Laura Koehlmann, for providing her services free of charge!
Also, thank you to the staff members at the Algonac Jr./Sr. High School and the Algonac Robotics Club for their cash donations to this project.
