Cost of college went up for all students at Paul Mitchell the School-Great Lakes

Tuition and fees rose 11.6 percent for 2018-19 at Paul Mitchell the School-Great Lakes, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $14,400 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $1,500 more than the $12,900 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 92 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 13 students received grants or scholarships totaling $62,315 and 23 students took out student loans totaling more than $155,898.

Including all undergraduates (80), 65 students used grants or scholarships totaling $290,016, and 77 students took out $429,349 in federal student loans.
