Last Wednesday, State Representative Jaime Greene (R-Richmond) honored Dr. Remington Nevin for his leadership as the Medical Director of the St. Clair County Health Department with a legislative tribute. The tribute was signed by Greene and several other state legislators.
“Dr. Nevin has been a phenomenal local leader serving in the St. Clair Health Department, and his impact on our community cannot be overstated,” said Greene. “We are all incredibly fortunate to benefit from not just his skill as a medical practitioner, but also his character and leadership.”
Greene highlighted Dr. Nevin's efforts to align vaccine exemptions in St. Clair County with Michigan law, ensuring that families seeking exemptions are treated respectfully by the health department. She praised him for improving the county’s vaccine exemption process and for his science-based approach to public health issues like fluoride in water systems and solar energy development.
“Dr. Nevin’s leadership is defined not only by his brilliance and expertise but by his moral clarity,” stated Greene's tribute.
