Caseville Public School took immediate action

Hillsideelementary

Caseville Public Schools issued the following announcement on Dec 3.

Caseville Public School took immediate action this morning upon hearing about a possible threat to its students via a snapchat post. With the help of local authorities and Michigan state police, we have found this threat to be not associated with Caseville Public School. We are very proud of our students and community for helping us deal with this difficult situation. As information was made available throughout the day, we feel that there is no immediate threat to Caseville Public School and its students. With this in mind, we will continue to have school on Friday, December 3rd. We will conduct our day as normal, with our usual Friday schedule, including an early release at 1:50pm. Due to the heightened sensitivity of the unfortunate events that took place at Oxford, we will be adding local police presence at our school for the time being. If you have concerns, the administration will be available to take your calls.

Respectfully,

Ken Ewald

Superintendent
