Seven students from Mrs. Ruhlman's 8th Grade Honors English

Seven students from Mrs. Ruhlman's 8th Grade Honors English class were recognized at the regular meeting of the Algonac Board of Education on Monday, May 23, 2022.  The students placed in the St. Clair County Community Mental Health's middle school writing contest, "The Power of Possibility".  

Kira Tilly read her 1st place entry, "The Dark Place", and Jasmine Walker read her Grand Prize entry, "The Fight For Light".  Also, Mrs. Luckenbacher, from the Community Mental Health, was present to award the students their certificates and prizes.

The following students were recognized for their outstanding work:

- Jasmine Walker - Grand Prize Winner

- Lexi Bertrand - 2nd Place (Poetry)

- Kira Tilly - 1st Place (Fiction)

- Ava Murray - 2nd Place (Fiction)

- Isla Pearson - 3rd Place (Fiction)

- Collin Grove - 2nd Place (Nonfiction)

- Mackenzie Adamson - 3rd Place (Nonfiction)
