DTE working to improve electric reliability in Lapeer area

Lapeer

DTE tells the City of Lapeer, engineers are currently investigating the reliability and dependability of electricity in the area due to concerns. DTE supervisors will be patrolling area circuits to locate the areas that need improvement. In certain areas, they may need to enter your property to better inspect trees, power lines and equipment. Depending on the cause, DTS crews may be able to deploy additional resources to quickly correct the problem. This work could include upgrading equipment, trimming trees and intentional interruptions to your electric service. If an intentional power interruption or tree trim is needed at your location, DTE crews will contact you by either knocking on your door to discuss the work or by leaving a door hanger. In some cases, a longer-term solution may be needed.
