North Branch High School standout Cate Welch’s college team won in NCAA Division III softball game on Saturday, April 5

On Saturday, April 5, former North Branch High School standout Cate Welch’s current college team, the Wheaton Thunder, won 5-2 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Elmhurst Bluejays.

The game took place at Ruth Leedy Field. This was their second matchup against the Bluejays this season.

The Thunder’s next game is scheduled for Monday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at Neumann Family Softball Field, against Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors.
