Snow will be falling before we know it. When we have snowfall over 2 inches, plow trucks are deployed. Crews may pre-salt ahead of snow events to reduce freezing on the roadways.
Cars, garbage and recycling containers should be removed from the road to allow our DPW crews plenty of room to make two pass throughs on the road.
Plowing is prioritized by clearing snow from streets with the most amount of traffic prior to low traffic areas.
When shoveling snow from your driveway approach, shovel snow to the side of your driveway on the far side of traffic flow. Snow piled on this area will avoid being pushed back into your driveway during sbsequent passes by City trucks. Snow from driveway approaches should be piled onto your extension and not back into the street.
