St. Clair County issued the following announcement.
The St. Clair County Health Department does not have any COVID vaccine appointments available at this time. Clinics scheduled for specific priority groups next week are full. We
apologize for any inconvenience as vaccine supply is limited statewide. Please do not call or show up unexpectedly at the Health Department, there is no ability to provide vaccines
at this time. Please watch for further media releases; visit our website and follow us on social media. We will announce any new information as soon as we have information to
share. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced on Wednesday those in Phase 1B and Phase 1C Group A would be eligible to receive the vaccine
starting January 11th . Unfortunately, the St. Clair County Health Department does not have sufficient vaccine supply for all individuals that fall within these groups. Dr. Annette
Mercatante, Medical Health Officer, stated “We are using vaccine allocation as fast as we can. We are following the state of Michigan guidelines however we have no control of
vaccine allocations and can only work with what we receive. Please be patient as we work to ensure equitable distribution of these scarce resources. As vaccine supply increases,
we will expand more vaccination opportunities.” This is a rapidly evolving situation. Further information will be shared when updates are available. Visit the health department
website at www.scchealth.co and follow us on social media @scchdmi.
