City of Vassar issued the following announcement on Sept 28.
TOO SOON! Please do not put leaves (or grass clippings) at the street yet unless it is on Thursdays and clearly marked YARD WASTE (or bagged in yard waste bags) for Republic Services to pick up.
The City will not begin leaf pick up until the second week of October.
