City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Mar 29.
****UPDATED (3/29/2022 at 12:46 p.m.)- THE CHILDREN ARE SAFE, they have been located in Ohio. The Owosso Police Department is working with the Ohio State Police for a safe return of the children. The case remains under investigation.****
An Endangered Missing Advisory has been issued for Ayverie Burford and Rosie Burford. The girls, ages 3 and 2, have blonde hair, blue eyes, and were last seen wearing matching white Adidas Tinkerbell t-shirts.
Ayverie and Rosie Burford were taken from their home in Owosso Michigan by Jared Burford. Surveillance video from a nearby business shows Jared Burford leaving the area carrying both children.
On March 18, 2022, the mother of the children obtained a Personal Protection Order on Jared Burford from the 30th Circuit Court in Lansing Michigan.
Jared Burford is 25 years old, 5”8” 130 lbs with tattoos on his both forearms, upper arms, and his chest.
Jared Burford was last seen leaving the apartment in Owosso, Michigan possibly heading to Tennessee. It is unknown what type of vehicle he may be driving.
