City of Caro Fire Department hosted a RIT training at a house located behind the fire station. Mayville Fire and Fairgrove Fire Departments also were able to attend this training.
What is RIT some may ask? RIT stands for Rapid Intervention Team. They are a stand bye crew assinged to the task of immediately searching and rescuing any missing, trapped, injured or unaccounted for firefighters. This was a great learning experience for all in attendance.
