Valve Assessment Program

The City is beginning our valve assessment program which will include inspection of approximately 553 main line valves, data collection and minor field repairs. All valves in the city will be exercised to make sure it is able to operate through its full range and inspected to make sure no valves are leaking.

The goal of this program is to make sure all our valves are open and in working order. During the process, residents may experience slight discoloration in their water. If you notice any discoloration, please fill out our water clarity survey (on the city website). If we have any updates to the project, we will add them to this link on the city website: https://www.cityofsaline.org/.../water_quality_updates.php.

This program is expected to take about 3 weeks to complete and we will be starting on the south west portion of town. A more detailed map is located on our website.

If you have any questions, please contact Saline DPW at (734) 429-5624.
